Christopher Mueller Obituary

Christopher "Chris" Todd Mueller of Akeley, MN, formerly of Swanville, passed away on Wednesday, April 2nd after a brief stay at the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menaga, MN.

Memorial Services held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Jones -Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN, from 4 to 8 PM. Final resting place will be at the Hubbard Cemetery, Hubbard, MN, with private burial at a later date.

Chris was born on Thursday, May 6, 1965 in Little Falls, MN to Kenneth "Ken" "Kenny" and Kathleen "Kathy" "Grace" (Hemry) Mueller. As a child Chris attended Swanville Schools, graduating with the Class of 1983. In his high school years he was on the Annual Staff, involved in School Plays, was a Video-Taper, participated in Shot-Put in Track, and played football as a proud member of the Swanville "Swans" Football Team. For the 1983 Yearbook he was voted the Senior Class male "Book Worm" and "Worst Driver."

While still in high school he earned the family nickname "Boogie-Boogie" from his first born niece, Melanie, because he loved to tickle her, saying "Boogie-Boogie" making her squeal and laugh.

After graduating Chris went to Victorville, CA and connected overhead phones lines for several months before returning to Minnesota. California was not for him! He moved to the Hubbard area where he worked at Chef Redi in Park Rapids for some time, then moving to Salol he worked at Marvin Windows in Warroad for eight years. Chris moved back to the Park Rapids area and was employed at a candle factory in Park Rapids for a short time before returning to the "potato plant" (now Lamb Weston RDO) for around 21 years until his health prevented him from working.

Chris enjoyed spending time with "Beast," his dog and taking him for walks, reloading shells, shooting guns, hosting shooting events on his five acres, and deer hunting at his brother Marty's place every fall.

Chris is survived by his faithful dog "Beast"; his siblings Marty (Tammy) Mueller, Loreli "Lori" (Jerald) Yourczek, and Greg Mueller; nieces and nephew Nicole (Daniel) Beach, Samantha (Kevin) Pommier, and Taylor Mueller, Melanie (Greg) Cimenski, Joshua (Auralia) Yourczek, Danielle (Luke Roehl) Yourczek, and Ashley Yourczek; great-nieces and nephews Kaiden, Harper, and Delanie Beach, Kason, Ellie, and Bennett Pommier, Bethany (Christian) Newman, Hannah, Casey, and Colten Cimenski, Vincent, Westley, Lucian, and Charlotte Yourczek, and Thea Yourczek; great-great nieces Lilliah and Bellamie Newman. Also survived by aunts and uncles Diane (Mueller) (Jim) Barber, Don Mueller, and Dorothy Mueller; and many, many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Kathy Mueller, his grandparents Herbert G. and Ida (Rahn) Mueller and Martin and Ester (Berglund) Hemry, sister-in-law Mary Mueller, 18 aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.
