Dale Edward Andersen was born on October 28, 1934, in Morrison County, MN, to the late Hans and Adeline (Sorg) Andersen. Dale graduated from Pillager High School and then attended Macalester College for Electrical Engineering. He went to work for IBM in New York for a bit until very quickly meeting his lifetime love and partner. Dale was united in marriage to Virginia Hauck on December 31, 1957. He was drafted into the Army and they moved to Oklahoma and then Germany for a few years. Upon returning, Dale and Virginia made their home in Milaca, MN, where they raised their daughters, Amy, Pam, and Kristin. Dale had several businesses in Milaca and Foley, RCA TV store, John Deere tractor store and shop, and then spent the majority of his Milaca career years as the owner of Jensen-Andersen Plumbing, Heating and Appliance Co. In 1980, they moved to the shore of Lake Alexander in Cushing, MN, where Dale was born and raised. They all enjoyed the lake life and Dale was able to fulfill his dream of farming full time again, on the farm he grew up on. Dale was the quiet matriarch of the family. He worked excessively to make his family comfortable and was always so proud of "his girls" in all regards from their music talents to sporting events and his wife in all her accomplishments. There was never a question of Dale's love for his family. He was gentle, incredibly smart, and had a witty and dry sense of humor. Dale's legacy will live forever in our hearts through the stories and lessons he taught through his strong, selfless character.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Pamela Andersen of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Carter Andersen Isaacs and fiancé, Ashton Arnold of Nashville TN, Amber (Posner) and Chris Bowman of Chandler, AZ, Annie Posner of Pensacola, FL, and Abraham Posner of Cushing, MN; son-in-law, Randy Posner (of late Kristin Posner); a great-grandson, Micah Bowman of Chandler, AZ; and two sisters, Jackie (Andersen) Magee of Pillager, MN and Gene (Andersen) Gullickson of Austin, MN.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Andersen; daughters, Amy Beth Andersen and Kristin (Andersen) Posner; and sister, Beverly (Andersen) Boswell.
