Joann McDonald Obituary
Joann was a passionate outdoorswoman who found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. Whether she was hiking, sitting by the lake, or spending time at her cabin in Cotton, Minnesota, she felt most at home in the natural world. Joann's love for adventure was not limited to the outdoors- she also enjoyed staying active with hobbies like playing softball, trap shooting, hunting, and fishing. A true sports fan, she was always cheering on her beloved Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Joann's warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elaine (Stangl) Kummet; her husband, David McDonald; her brother, James Kummet; brother-in-law, Kenneth Przybilla.
She is survived by her siblings: Louise (Dennis) Marshik, Lois Przybilla, Elaine (Michael) Deeg, Anthony (Marlys) Kummet, Marian (Michael) Bennett, Fran (Roger) Waytashek, Judy (Jerry) Polhkamp, Robert (Julie) Kummet, Rose (Tom) Wright, Tom (Julie) Kummet; sister-in-law, Jan Kummet; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Joann's memory at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN. Visitation held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment following at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Relevant Radio, The Church of Saint Peter, Forest Lake or the American Diabetes Association, in honor of Joann's nephew, Brian.

We are so sad to hear of Joann´s passing. She was truly a wonderful and selfless person. I will miss our talks. So sorry we cannot attend her funeral. We have moved to Florida. I would like to send a card but not sure where to send it.
