He grew up and attended school in Little Falls, graduating from Little Falls High School with the Class of 1981. After graduation, Scott worked various jobs across the country finally joining the family business at the Little Falls Granite Works. Scott had a long and successful career at the Little Falls Granite Works where he became an owner of the company in 2007. He helped grieving families and other monument companies create meaningful granite memorials for the bereaved. Through Scott's work he became very aware of the value of friends and family. His way of enjoying and spending time with the people he loved was through his rich passion for the outdoors. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took countless trips throughout the country hunting big game, upland birds and waterfowl. He also enjoyed fishing locally and was a boat captain for salmon charter fishing on Lake Michigan where he entertained guests and clients of the Little Falls Granite Works. Scott was also an advocate for hunting and a promoter of sharing his love of the outdoors to the youth. He was a regional director of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, helped coordinate the annual Governor's hunt, member of the Pinnacle Hunting Club in Little Falls, MN and a charter member of getting the youth hunt at Camp Ripley started. Scott also had a passion for riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles where he took several trips to the Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota. He was united in marriage to Debi Jenkins on September 27, 1997 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Scott was dearly loved and will forever be remembered for his calm demeanor and the love he showed to his friends and family.
