TOLEDO - Sherry (Ruth) Dodrill, 70, of Toledo, OH, passed away at home, on June 10th, with her loved ones by her side.
Sherry was born on November 4, 1953, to Frank and Waneta Ruth in Mt Gilead, OH. After Sherry graduated from Northmor high school in 1972, she went on to graduate and major in Physical Education at The Ohio State University.
She began her teaching career at Ft Knox, KY elementary school, followed by various positions in the Rossville, IL school system and Defiance, OH school system. She loved her students dearly and they were always greeted with hugs and a big smile.
Sherry and Brad first met in the mid-1960's while attending 4-H camp and furthered their relationship while in college. They went on to have three wonderful children, and six grandchildren.
After retirement, Sherry spent her time raising vegetable garden(s) and manicuring her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning her garden goods. Daily, Sherry could be found reading her bible.
Sherry was predeceased by Frank and Waneta Ruth. She is survived by her husband Brad Dodrill, daughter Britney (Tom) Ward, daughter Bridgit (Chris) Corfman and son Brock (Maria) Dodrill. Grandchildren: Elley Ward, Colt Ward, Dominic Dodrill, Madilyn Dodrill, Maisely Dodrill and Nesta Rose Dodrill. Sister: Karen (Jerry) Christensen.
A "Celebration of Sherry's Life" will take place this Summer. The date, times and venue, to be determined. Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com
