KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FL - On November 11th, 2024, Travis Parsons passed peacefully at home in Keystone Heights, Florida, where he lived the last six years with his wife Sue Harris and dog Tito.
He was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio on January 27th,1966. He was born to Dorman R. Parsons Sr and Patricia McAvoy.
He graduated from Cardington High School in 1984 and then served in the Air Force stationed in the Philippines. Travis enjoyed working with his hands, mainly carpentry, tree trimming and any small job that needed done. He enjoyed fishing, music and dancing.
Travis is survived by his son Matthew (Kaycie) Parsons, grandchildren Ryan, Jazmine and Alyssa, all of Mansfield. His mom and dad, Gary and Patty McAvoy of Cardington. Siblings Dorman (Rhonda) Parsons of Marion; Mark (Rebecca) Parsons of Mount Gilead; Jeff McAvoy of Mount Vernon; Jackie (Aaron) Waters of Cardington; Jennifer (Denny) Snow of Gambier; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Travis was preceded in death by his father Dorman Parsons Sr.
A remembrance will be held on November 29th, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at the United Methodist Church in Cardington. It will be open to the public and a light meal will be served.
