Casey Doran Obituary

Casey (Gerald M.) Doran BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Casey Doran passed away on May 19, 2014, at age 66. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anne Okoniewski Doran; siblings and their spouses, Sister Mary Doran SSJ, Eileen and Howard Ross, Kathleen O'Neil, Paul and Margaret Doran, Charles and Anne Doran, Jean Coyne and Sheila Berrettone; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas, John, Michael and James; and sister, Veronica Mahoney. Casey was born in Canandaigua on April 25, 1948, and was the son of Matthew and Mary Travers Doran. He graduated from Canandaigua Academy. He enjoyed gardening, sports, barbecuing and golf. He was especially devoted to his two dogs Cokey and Mollie. Casey served as a Eucharistic minister for many years. A sincere thank you is extended to the caretakers, Lourdes Hospice staff and others who made Casey's stay at home as comfortable as possible. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him. There will be no calling hours. His memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St., Binghamton, NY 13901. Online condolences can be made at www.hefuneralhome.com .
