Chris Koch Obituary

Chris W. "Bill" Koch Beloved husband, father and grandfather CANANDAIGUA - Chris W. "Bill" Koch, age 89, of West Gibson Street, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Adams) Koch; daughter, Sherry Wesley; two grandsons, Todd (Theresa) Wesley and Kurt Wesley; a great-granddaughter; brother-in-law, William (Shirley) Adams; nephew, William Barlow; and three nieces, Susan Vadney, Sandi DiCicco and Cathy Vadney. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen A. Koch; sister, Beverly Fredericksen; and sister-in-law, June Adams. Mr. Koch was born in Pensacola, Fla. and was the son of Chris A. and Margaret (Loller) Koch. He moved to Canandaigua with his family when he was a child and attended Canandaigua schools. Mr. Koch was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in Persia (now Iran). He was employed at Eastman Kodak Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1983. Mr. Koch enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was a former volunteer at the VA Medical Center. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 12:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 N. Pearl St., Canandaigua. His memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the pavilion courtyard, at the VA Medical Center (indoors behind buildings 5 and 7), 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VA Medical Center, c/o Hospice Palliative Care Fund 1640, 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.

My Dad, Chris (Bill) Koch passed away Dec. 26th after a long illness. How VERY lucky My mom, Jean and my 2 sons Todd & Kurt, my daughter-in-law, Theresa & first grand-daughter due to be born in a month have been to have had my dad in our lives. He is missed.
