Edwin A. Rex CANANDAIGUA - Edwin A. Rex, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 5, 2017, in Alabama, while on vacation. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wendy Rex; daughter, Chantell Rex (Michael White); two granddaughters, Rheanna and Dana; mother, Margaret Rex; six siblings, Georgia (Ken) Smith, Jackie (Butch) Brink, Dolores (Jim) Metz, Duffy (Sherry) Rex, Joe (Bonnie) Rex and Kevin (Sam) Rex; extended family member, David Aron; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, George Rex in 2013. Ed was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served from 1974 to 1978. He was employed at the VA Medical Center and had been there for many years. Ed also worked for St. Bridget's Church in Bloomfield. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Patriot Guard and the NRA. Ed was an avid outdoorsman and motorcyclist. He enjoyed helping others. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Canandaigua.
