Henry E. Snyder Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather MARION - Henry E. Snyder, age 78, of Williamson Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. He is survived by his wife, Jean Snyder; six children, Sandy (Jack) Jordan, Laurie Youngman, Beth (Doug) Hackett, Scott (Anjel) Rowe, Anita (David) Cornell and Cheryl (Andy) Engels; 12 grandchildren, Jason, Bryn, Dustin, Cadan, Cody, Bill, Richard, Brandon, Asha, Taylor Marie, Taylor James and Lauren; three great-grandchildren; and several cousins, including Mary McAmmond. Mr. Snyder was born in Rochester and was the son of Frederick and Laura (Williams) Snyder. He was a graduate of the University of Rochester, class of 1952. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Snyder was the president and CEO of the former E.G. Snyder Corporation of Rochester. His civic responsibilities led him to serve on the board at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic and the Dome Arena in Henrietta. He was an active member of the Rochester Rotary Club, the Masons and the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Canandaigua. Mr. Snyder was an avid equestrian and a supporter of equestrian events and programs in the Rochester area. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 320 S. Pearl St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Perinton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 320 S. Pearl St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
