John L. Gerlock

John L. Gerlock FARMINGTON - John L. Gerlock, age 79, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on April 1, 2016. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgiana "Gee" Gerlock; three children, Sarah Gerlock (Chris Flood) and Anne and Louis Gerlock; mother-in-law, Virginia Carpenter; two brothers, Robert and Fred Gerlock; several nieces and nephews; and faithful dog, Duncan. Mr. Gerlock was born in Canandaigua and was the son of Louis and Anne Gerlock. He was a graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1953. Upon graduation from high school, Mr. Gerlock operated the family farm with his father and brothers and had continued to work the farm with his brothers. He worked very hard until the day he died. Mr. Gerlock was an avid outdoorsman and champion skeet shooter. He enjoyed spending time on Canandaigua Lake with his family. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Services are private. Interment will be in South Farmington Cemetery.
