Dear Aunt Pearl and Family, I just want to express how sad I am about Uncle Vin. I remember him as always having a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. He was always so nice to me and I'm sure you will miss him very much. I will be praying for you as you journey through this very tough time of mourning. Just remember God is always with you. Love, Dawn

I am sorry for your loss but we all gained by Vin Rowley's life. He always had a warm smile and friendly manner. My earliest memory of Vin was a story told to me later as a youngster. Sometime in 1963, my father had a car accident. Rather than wait for help, my father decided he would walk home. He normally arrived home at 1PM. When he did not show up, and with 4 infant children to care for, my mother grew worried and called the Sheriff’s department. An All Points Bulletin was issued. Around dawn, my father was found walking by the roadside near Honeoye. The man on patrol who found him was a Deputy Sheriff named Vin Rowley. He took my father home and much to my mother's relief and deep appreciation. That is how I remember Vin Rowley; a man who had a ready smile and lent a hand to those in need. When I saw him two years ago, as I was doing a door-to-door campaign for a town board seat, Vin and I reminisced about all the changes that took place in Honeoye and I, of course, related the story about how he found my Dad after his car accident. We talked about family and I remember the pride Pearl and Vin had for all their children and grandchildren. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you. Vin will always remain within my heart.

Dear Fellow Church Street family,
So many of our memories as children are focused on those we grew up with and those who watched over us as kids - Vin being one of the street fathers.
I will always remember Vin's happy smile and his warm embrace for all of us Church St. kids. He was one of the best.
I am so sorry for your loss - it's very difficult to lose the patriarch of your family....and especially one as special as Vin.
Our best to all of you as you find your way through this time of mourning the loss of your father and husband.
   Fondly,
The Fitzgerald Family
