I had the privilege of working with Dr. Kamell in the OR of Thompson Hosp. He was always kind to me as I learned the in's and out's of surgery in the early 80's. The Kamell's oldest children are contemporaries of my daughters, Janelle Bishop Britton and Jacqueline Bishop Wilder. The world was a better place because he was in it. I hold his family in my prayers.

We met the Kamell family when they purchased our home in Centerfield back in 1978. Dr. Kamell also took care of our daughter after her severe car accident. Over the years, Bill and Sylvia have always inquired about our family whenever we ran into them. They are truly a most loving family and the entire community will miss Dr. Kamell. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

I first met Bill when he was a Resident at Strong Memorial Hospital. Our paths would cross years later when he first treated my daughter at the "ortho clinic" held once a week at FFTH and then again at the Canandaigua Baptist Church. Bill was truly devoted to his family and to doing the works of God. He was, and still is, an example to many. May your sorrow be comforted by the knowledge that he is with God and will continue to be a blessing to many. May the prayers of all comfort you.
