Aaron Flud Obituary

Aaron Todd Flud was born December 7, 1978. Raised in Midland, TX by Tommy Flud. He attended MISD schools and played baseball and football for Lee High School. Aaron was involved in all things extra-curricular and accelerated in most. He rarely met a stranger and was always spending time with his many friends. Aaron was friends with all, he always preferred the person not the group. After a shoulder injury prevented Aaron from playing baseball and football, he changed course and made the varsity cheer squad for LHS. He was never one to be held back with limitations, he was always a glass half full young man. After graduating from LHS in 1997, Aaron attended Midland College and participated in cheerleading at a collegiate level. Once he was finished at Midland College he transferred to Angelo State University to finish his academic journey. He is a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Order and was invested in the community through the public service works the fraternity provided across the campus and San Angelo. After ASU he came back to Midland where he worked at Baker Hughes and several other organizations servicing the oil and gas industry. As he continued to work and have children, Aaron began his long tenure serving West Texas children within youth sports. He became the Athletic Director of the Permian Basin Patriots, a board member for the Permian Basin Youth Football League, and was active in little baseball and Midland United Girls Softball Association. Aaron found it important to mentor and serve our youth through sports opportunities for all children. The positive influence he made will live on long past his time on earth. He wanted to make sure the next generation always was given the opportunities to be better than the last. Most of his weekends were dedicated to coaching, whether it be on a baseball diamond or football field- that is where Aaron's heart was always happiest. Aaron was a great man and a great friend to all, but he wasn't perfect. Only Aaron would love and live in Texas and have an unbreakable love for the Boston Red Sox. His bromance with the GOAT Tom Brady was well known. Regardless, we all loved him and are grateful to call him our friend. He was a devoted father and he leaves his children; Ella, Emily, Easton, and Trystin. He also leaves the love of his life, Tiffany Elrod, here to remember him. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Aaron is preceded in death by his dad Tommy Flud, Joella Flud (Mamaw), George Flud (Papaw), and uncles Sam and Joe Flud. Aaron Flud influenced many people and he will be missed, but not forgotten. Go rest high up on the mountain, your work here on earth is done. Viewing Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Mayberry Funeral Home located at 406 E. Illinois Ave., Midland, TX 79701 A Celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Crossroads Church 6900 E Highway 191, Odessa, TX.
