Bartolo Rodea

Bartolo Rodea, 58, of Midland, passed away on March 5, 2018 in Houston, surrounded by his family. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Rosary services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Bartolo was born on August 24, 1959 to Simon Rodea in Laqunillas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Bartolo worked for MISD for 30 years, retired, and then went to work for Kel-Tech Clariant. Bartolo loved spending time with friends and family. He loved to cook out and spending time at the gun range and watching the Dallas Cowboys with his wife. Bartolo also loved to travel with his family. Bartolo had a green thumb. His favorite hobbies were gardening and landscaping. He is survived by the love of his life, Adela Rodea; four children: son, Sabino Rodea and wife Veronica; daughter, Veronica Rodea Marquez and husband Randy; son, Sebastian Rodea; and son, Rodel "Ariel" Rodea; his three best friends, Bandido, Luther, and Palin; his four grandchildren, Valerie Marquez, Ethan Rodea, Zienna Rodea, and Mark Vasquez; brothers, Liborio and Felicita Martinez, Martin and Leticia Rodea, and Ignacio and Zila Rodea; sisters, Pilar Rodea, Elia and Raul Aguilar, Maria and Antonio Cabello, Ericka and Maximo Sanchez, and Lilia and Antonio Mancilla; and by six nieces, 15 nephews, and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Sabino Rodea, Sebastian Rodea, Randy Marquez, Ethan Rodea, Mark Vasquez, Ignacio Rodea, Carlos Armendariz, and Tony Yorkman.
