Bernard Seidenberger Obituary

Bernard "Barney" Seidenberger, Jr., 77, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Midland. Barney was born on June 4, 1944 to Ella and Bernard Robert Seidenberger in Greenville, TX. He is a graduate of Garden City High School. He also served in the Army National Guard. Barney had many hobbies including gunsmithing, hunting, photography, telling corny jokes, computers, model airplanes, drones, cars, and gardening. He was a founding member of St Stephen's Catholic Church serving many years on the Parish Council. Barney's outgoing mannerism and joyful demeanor made him a perfect Usher at St. Stephen's where he delighted in giving all a welcome hand. For most of his career, Barney worked for IBM and Xerox. He loved making people laugh and loved his family. Barney is survived by his wife, Dorothea Logan of Midland; son Robbie and fiancé Bea Ruth of Midland; son Mark and wife Tammy of Flower Mound; son Phil and wife Angi of Amarillo; step-children Lawrence Fink and wife Valarie of Indiana; Tanya Childs and husband Jason of Austin; and Stephen Finos and wife Ramona of Austin; 7 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren who adored their Grandpa; siblings Dennis Seidenberger of Garden City, James Seidenberger of San Angelo, and Cecilia Livingston of Andrews; loved by cousins, nieces, nephews and too many other family members and friends to list whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his first wife Carla Seidenberger; his parents Bernard and Ella Seidenberger; sisters Delores and Agnes Seidenberger. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Helping Hands of Midland, 1301 Brinson Lane, Midland, TX 79703. I´m a little behind schedule here, only learning of Barney´s passing just now. I worked with the man from `82-88, and have the greatest memories of him as a co-worker. He was especially adept with photocopiers, and forever a positive force on the team, whatever we may be doing. He also knew how to pick out very desirable automobiles, and I learned a lot from him. May he rest in peace and my prayers are with his family.
