Victoria Seidenberger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home on Jan. 11, 2023.
Victoria E. "Vic" (Kurteson) Seidenberger, age 78, wife of the late James W. "Jim" Seidenberger, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Born on September 29, 1944, in Bethlehem, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth A. (Zsilavecz) and Milton Kurteson.
A graduate of Hellertown-Lower Saucon High School (Hellertown, PA), Vic was a member of Biology Club, Student Problem Solving Council - which addressed problems between students and school administration, Student Council, Art Club, the school newspaper, and Pep Club. She went on to receive her BS in Biology from Moravian College (Bethlehem, PA). In mid-life, she studied textile design at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (Philadelphia, PA). Vic was the Director, Document Quality & Training in Global Clinical Communications at Wyeth-Ayerst Research (now Pfiezer) where she worked until her retirement. She presented at international and U.S. based conferences of the Drug Information Association, and developed and led training for staff both at home and abroad.
Vic moved to Providence Forge, Royersford, PA in 1976 and a year later, married the love of her life, Jim, in 1977. Married for 40 years, Jim preceded her in death in 2017. Together, they were longtime members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Royersford.
A life-long avid gardener, she had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She would share her knowledge with others and often people would stop in front of her home just to take in the beauty. She also used her talents to create beautiful floral arrangements.
Vic truly saw beauty everywhere around her and found joy even in the smallest of things in nature. She was able to appreciate something as simple as a leaf for its shape and color, or as inspiration for textile design. As an artist, throughout her life, she enjoyed drawing, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and silk dyeing. Also talented in the kitchen, Vic had a great appetite and loved to cook, taking inspiration from foods from around the world.
Vic loved Halloween. She enjoyed getting dressed up and setting up a treat table outside. Children would say she had the best offerings in the neighborhood. She also took great pleasure spending time outside on the deck to share meals, bird watch, take afternoon naps, or read. She was an avid reader across genres and interests, and particularly relished mystery novels. As well, she was a loving and doting "cat mom" and "dog auntie".
Vic was known for long bouts of hilarious laughing fits. She had contagious belly laughter where she would often lose her breath. She loved to dance and was proud that she was both silly and goofy.
Above all, Vic cherished her family and friends. She could be described as kind, patient, caring, giving and generous, wise, creative, loving, and beloved.
She is survived by her daughter: Toby Martinez, of Royersford; sister: Linda Kurteson, of Holland; brother: George Kurteson, of New Hope; many nieces and nephews; an abundance of extended family, and her adoring kitties.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 9:30-11:30 am, followed by her funeral service, at 11:30 am at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. David Kubczak.

March 22, 2023

I miss my dear sister every day. She was my friend and oldest sibling. I spoke with her the night she passed and she was feeling good and ready to get on with medical testing so that she could get discharged on Thursday. She was looking forward to Spring planting and everything else that comes with the warm weather. Vicki loved to laugh and sometimes she'd laugh so hard that she couldn't easily stop. Of course we would egg her on so she would keep on laughing. I understand life and death, but I don't appreciate her being taken so soon from us. She was a loving Mom to her daughter and a good wife to her husband. She loved flowers, crafts, cooking, swimming, laughing and visiting with others. She cared a lot about those she loved. Vicki was there for me when I needed her. I wish she was still around.
