Robert Hertzog Obituary
Bobby was on the wrestling teams of both Stewart Junior High School and A.D. Eisenhower (Norristown) High School. He was named Athlete of the week at Stewart as a seventh grader which was a very rare occurrence. He was a varsity starter on the 1964 high school team before injuries ended his career midway through the season.
He graduated from Norristown High in 1966. He entered the U.S. Army in June of 1967 and served in Germany until his honorable discharge from active duty in June of 1969.
He worked briefly as a mail handler for the U.S. Post Office before working as a platform operator for several different local manufacturers.
He enjoyed fishing. Because his birthday, March 19th, was the same as Richie Ashburn, he was a very loyal Phillie fan his whole life.
He was preceded in death by both his parents: Jean and Lewis; a sister: Bonnie; and his older brothers: Dennis and John (Janice). He is survived by one brother: Lewis, of Royersford; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
