Robert J. "Bob" Paoletti passed away unexpectedly on 3/15/26 at age 74. He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA and grew up in South Philadelphia. He served in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1976 including several tours of duty in Vietnam for which he received the Purple Heart Award. He graduated from the Universuity of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and worked for 30 years for Daytimers/Acco in Allentown, PA.

He retired to Heather Lakes in Little River, SC in 2014 and was elected President of the HOA where he served 2 terms, 2015 to 2019. He became very involved in the Calabash Elks #2679 and in 2019 was selected to be the Exalted Ruler. He served in several board and committee positions through the years and was an ever-present volunteer in the kitchen.

He was a die-hard and loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was an Olympic-level equestrian as a young man, appreciated viewing and collecting artwork in later years and since retiring enjoyed fishing the beautiful waters of SC and NC.

Bob was a generous organ donor through We Are Sharing Hope out of Charleston, SC, having his liver accepted immediately by a recipient in SC.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Merkel, his beloved Pekingese children Mia and Buddy, and his "brothers from other mothers''.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
