Carl Lynn Rodgers, a loving and caring man with a big heart passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on May 15, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, to William and Della Rodgers.
Carl's journey through life was marked by devotion to his family and service to any in need. Carl will be remembered for his huge heart and amazing sense of humor; he always had jokes. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side in Granbury Texas, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Carl was a loving father and husband whose life revolved around his family, he loved NASCAR, fishing, playing the guitar and BBQ. He retired from the Midland Fire Department as a Captain after 23 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Rodgers; his daughter Sabrina Early; his son Chad Rodgers and his wife Vanessa James Early; and his grandchildren Kaitlyn Rodgers, Dylan Early, Kaylee Wright, Thad Rodgers, Zoey Rodgers and Jasper Gossett.
He is preceded in death by his parents Della and William Rodgers; and his daughter Greta Rodgers Renfro.
The visitation is scheduled for Friday August 29, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm in Midland, Texas, at Willow brook Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service is Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10 am, at Willow Brook Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, McCamey, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Big Lake Funeral Home, owned by Carl's son Chad and daughter-in-law Vanessa.
Flowers can be delivered to Willow brook Funeral Home at 1311 W. Florida Ave, Midland Texas.
