Christopher Bledsoe Obituary

Christopher Ryan Bledsoe of Midland, TX passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the age of 42. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Chris was born to Richard and Ann Bledsoe on December 4, 1979 in Midland, TX. Chris graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002. He completed his Master of Business Administration at UTPB in 2007. Chris married his wife, Sommer Jobe, in 2004. He was the proud father of his beautiful daughter, Kaitlyn, and his precious son, Jackson. Chris had a very distinguished career in the oil and gas industry and worked for several different companies in the Permian Basin. He took great joy in building things with his hands, a trait he shared with his father. Every project was level, built to last, and precise in measurement. Chris also had a lifelong passion for sports, playing for the Rebels in both football and baseball while in high school, and avidly supporting Aggie football for the rest of his life. He was thankful, kind, well-respected by his peers, and strove to live a simple life. Chris had a smile that could light up a room. It always shone the brightest when he was with his children! He would beam with pride when he talked about how Kaitlyn and Jackson excelled in both school and sports, but most importantly how they showed the love of Jesus to all they encountered. Chris is survived by his wife, Sommer, children Kaitlyn and Jackson, mother, Ann, brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jane Bledsoe, and nieces Sydni and Jaymi Walker, brother and sister-in-law Shane and Elizabeth Jobe and niece,Camille. He is also survived by his in-laws Janet and Kenny Harper and grandparents-in-law Bob and Beverly Sundet, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bledsoe, grandparents Oren and Melba Fisher, and Del and Glenna Bledsoe. Other family who preceded him are Janie Brown, Jack Bledsoe, and Buddy and Zack Jobe, and his beloved dogs, Topher and Gracie. Pallbearers will be Brent Clary, Seth Gunter, John Morris, Casey Satterfield, Nathan Schneider, Jeff Stewart, John Taing, and Brandon Voss. The family would like to express their gratitude to Calvary Assembly of God, First Baptist Church, and Stonegate Fellowship. We appreciate the kindness you have shown our family as we grieve the loss of Chris. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the churches above or to the Midland Soup Kitchen.
