Clayton Eugene Waddell

1990 - 2023

Clayton Eugene Waddell of Frisco, TX, obtained the ultimate prize and was called to heaven on February 24, 2023. Clayton was born on April 22, 1990, in Midland, TX, to Clinton Eugene and Keri Renee Waddell and married the love of his life, Samantha Smith, on September 3, 2018, in Kyle, TX. Clayton graduated from Midland High School in 2008 and attended Texas State University, where he immersed himself in the college experience and enjoyed it to the fullest. He loved God, his family, friends, faithful canine companion, Ellie, and the Houston Astros - mostly in that order. He was a sports fanatic and shared that passion with his children, nieces, and nephews. There was hardly a sporting event he would not take an interest in or attend, but his first love was baseball, and he enjoyed spending his weekends as a Tournament Director for Travel Sports Baseball. He had an infectious sense of humor that seemed to never have an off-switch. Clayton never met a stranger and had a nickname for everyone. Our lives will be much quieter, and the laughter he would incite will now only be from memories. His earthly departure has left a tremendous void in our daily lives, but we are comforted knowing he is with us, and we will see and laugh with him again. Ephesians 2:4-9 Clayton is survived by his wife, Samantha Waddell, and children, Cason Waddell, McKenna Waddell, and Collins Waddell of Frisco, TX; Parents, Clinton and Keri Waddell of Horseshoe Bay, TX; sisters, Cristin Coulter and husband Turney of Granbury, TX, Kendra Lange and husband Taylor of Spring Branch, TX; three nieces and four nephews; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Bilenda Smith of Rowlett, TX, and several aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Dr., Frisco, TX 75033, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at the Berkshire Chapel on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Clayton's memory to LakePoint Academy - Grandbury.
