Cody Rodriguez Portillo

On January 22nd, 1991, John and Betty Portillo were blessed with their son Cody Rodriguez Portillo in Midland, Texas. For 27 years Cody brought so much life and joy to his family and friends with his big smile and even bigger heart. On May 8th, 2018, Cody was called home to his Heavenly Father, but his memory will never fade from the hearts of those who loved him. Cody is survived by his son Ezekiel Cody Portillo, and his parents John and Betty Portillo both of Midland. He will always be "The Best Looking Brother" to his seven brothers and two sisters whom he loved so much, Chris and Vanessa Portillo, Ricky and Carmen Portillo, Jacqueline Portillo, Heather and Ruben Martinez, Stephen Portillo, Anthony Portillo, Robert Portillo, Adam Portillo, and Reyes Portillo all of Midland, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his girlfriend Stephanie Cedillo of Midland, TX. Cody will meet his grandparents Manuel and Beatrice Rodriguez and Reyes and Lucy Portillo in heaven. Cody was a happy person and he was loved dearly by everyone he knew. You could count on him to make you laugh and leave your life a little brighter just because he was in it and he loved his "Zekey" more than anything in this world. Although Cody has left everyone's world a little darker now that he's gone home, his memory will live on forever. Pallbearers will be, Chris Portillo, Ricky Portillo, Stephen Portillo, Anthony Portillo, and Adam Portillo. A rosary was held Thursday May 10th at 7:00 p.m. at Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 11th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home.
