Courtney Stubbs Obituary

Courtney Ann Stubbs, 58, of Midland passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 3, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, with Don Mitchell and Kenzel May, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.

Courtney was born on November 2, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Fred and Myrtle Rice Stubbs.

Courtney loved her family, especially her children. She took pleasure in worshipping and serving at Fairmont Park Church of Christ. She enjoyed the church feast group as well as telephoning and visiting with shut-ins. Prior to moving to Houston, Courtney resided in Midland where she graduated from Midland High School. While in Houston, Courtney worked as an executive secretary for Exxon. She remained there until her health failed and then she returned to Midland.

Courtney is survived by one son, Greg Keller of Euless; a daughter Suzanne Soo of Terra Haute, IN; one brother and sister-n-law, Fred and Jean Stubbs of Midland; three grandchildren; one aunt, Mary Rice of Houston; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by husbands Leon Keller of Midland and C.T. Soo of Houston.

The family suggests memorials be directed to Fairmont Park Church of Christ Missions Fund, 3813 N. Midland Drive, Midland, Texas 79707.

To the Family of Ms. Courtney Stubbs: I am so very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Ms. Courtney. She was such a sweet and caring person. It was always a pleasure to see and spend time with her. She will be greatly missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.
