David Bosecker Obituary

David Walter Bosecker, A Deputy Sheriff at Eastland County Sheriff's Office passed away on July 21, 2023. He was 57 years old. He was on a domestic call when fatally wounded. Funeral Services Directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday July 29, 2023, at the Brownwood, Texas Coliseum, David was born in Perrington, Texas on July 13, 1967. David served 21 years in Law Enforcement, including Wise County Sheriff's Office, TABC, Texas Game Warden, Comanche Police Department, and was employed by Eastland County Sheriff's Office since 2021. David graduated High School in Midland, Texas, graduated from Tarleton University in Stephenville, Texas, served in the United States Marine Corp. and continued educating himself with hours in Law Enforcement training by school and field training. He truly went by the Marine and Law Enforcement Code and carried it out every day of his life after college until his last breath. David is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Elton Bosecker of 26 years. Stepson; John Tanner Edwards and his wife Gemini Edwards, grandchildren; Lincoln and Henley Edwards of San Angelo, Texas, Brian Lynn of San Angelo, Texas Erik Smith of Ashville, North Carolina, His father Christian Fredrich Bosecker of Midland, Texas, His mother Ramah Jean Fary of Flat Rock, North Carolina, His brother; Ted Bosecker and wife Charlotte Bosecker of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by brother-in-law Jerry D. Dove and his wife Georgean Dove of Llano, Texas. His sister-in-law Linda Edens and retired Col. Frank Edens of the Villages, Florida. Nephews; Master Sgt. George Michael Dove and his wife Laurie and dtr Allison of Huntsville, Alabama, Bobby Don Dove and his wife Amy and son Jacob and dtr Ella of New Zealand. Niece Robin Spears and dtr Sophia of Orlando, Florida and will be missed by all of his brotherhood, in Law Enforcement and friends as well. David loved hunting, fishing, gardening and loved working to make a safer place for everyone. He followed his Oaths to serve to the best of his ability and pushed himself beyond his limits, worked out all the time to keep his body and mind in shape to handle the jobs of law enforcement. He is survived by his much-loved dog Jackie. Everyone knew how much he loved her. She will miss him as well. David leaves behind a Legacy to his Law Enforcement buddies that will endure through the memories shared with those that loved him and respected him." ***(In David's love for Law Enforcement and in Lieu of flowers), The "David Bosecker Memorial Fund " is set up through the First Financial Bank of Eastland County, 201 E Main St., Eastland, Texas 76448. 254-629-6139 for options of ways to save money. All monies will go to help the Eastland County Sheriff's Office to provide gear needed to help their Deputies be safer. David believed in this cause his whole career.

David came to work for my parents on a custom harvest crew. He was a great guy. His nickname was Frog the reason for being called that was I think there was more then one David on harvest. He made people laugh and he will be missed. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
