Eleanor Scarbrough Obituary

Eleanor Margaret Scarborough Eleanor Margaret Scarborough passed away August 9, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born on August 5, 1930 in San Antonio to Houston Marshall Scarborough and Margaret Ella Muller. She attended St Mary's Hall and Alamo Heights High School, then to Monticello College in Alton, Illinois for two years. She then attended the University of Texas where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She married Moliere (Bud) Scarborough, Jr. on June 26, 1951, residing in Philadelphia, PA., New York City, NY, and Houston, TX before settling in Tyler, Texas in the early 1960's. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Tyler, Tyler Junior League, Willow Brook Country Club, Hollytree Country Club, Friday Night Dinner Club, and Deck Club. She is survived by her husband, M. Scarborough, Jr., son Stuart Scarborough and wife Sandy, grandchildren Courtney and husband Michael Flower and Smith, son Lee Scarborough and wife Debby, grandchildren Susan and husband Nick Gaultney and Martha Ann, son Brian Scarborough, grandchildren Houston and Kieffer, cousin Marilyn Mueller Smith and husband Wade C. Smith. A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. , with a reception following. Services are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Interment will be at a date to be determine Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to the charity of choice.
