Evelyn Hadley

Evelyn Hadley was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on June 22, 1938, to parents Sanford Smith and Frances Massey Smith. She married William Grady Hadley on November 22, 1954 in Midland, Texas and the couple had two children, Wendell Glen and Paula Gayle. Evelyn was a loving wife and mother and that love graduated into love for her grand children and great-grandchildren. She liked to sew, to plant and to volunteer her time. Many will remember her cheerful presence at ML Leddy or the Ladies Auxiliary at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was well loved by her family and friends. During her last days, she would watch game shows with Paula and Westerns with Al and both will cherish that time spent with her. She will be greatly missed by many. Pallbearers for her service will be: Gerrod Hadley, Gaige Hadley, Wesley Hadley, Josh Szot, Matthew Turney and Chris Nash. Evelyn is survived by her children; Glen Hadley and his wife Lisa, and Paula Gonzalez and her husband Al; grandchildren, Gerrod Hadley and wife, Mary, Gaige, Wesley, Addison, Callie Turney and husband, Matt, Katherine, Tegan, Rhett, Walker, Hannah Szot and husband, Josh; brothers, William Harrison and husband, Jim; sisters, Ann Hallmark and husband, Rodney, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; brother, Wayland Smith and sisters, Glenda Prater and Shirley Williams. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21 and the service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
