It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Flora Hernandez, who left us too soon at the age of 38 on August 11, 2025.
Flora was born in Midland to Mike and Rita Hernandez on July 28, 1987. She went to school at Robert E. Lee High School. She graduated from Midland College with an Associate's degree in Applied Science Diagnostic Medical Sonography and worked as a contract Sonographer throughout the West Texas region. She was involved in the A.C.T.S. Ministry at San Miguel Catholic Church.
Flora was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Victor and Petra Galvan, paternal grandparents, Miguel and Lila Hernandez, and her father Miguel Hernandez, Jr.
Flora is survived by her loving mother, Rita. She was a faithful sister to Cristina Vasquez, Joaquina Paredez and her husband, Isaac. Flora was Godmother and aunt to Raymond Vasquez II, and Michael Paredez. She was aunt to Kaitlyn Paredez, Ava Vasquez, and Jordan Olgin. She was not only a loving aunt but also a caring and supportive friend in need. She would dedicate and prioritize her time for the ones she loved.
A Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Willowbrook Funeral Home, 1311 W. Florida Ave., Midland, TX.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating.
