Geraldine "Jerry" Stringfellow, 93 of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. A viewing will be held from 8:00am – 9:00pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Jerry was born on December 10, 1929 in Amarillo, Texas to William (Bill) and Rosa Belle Hart Simon. She graduated from Dimmitt High School. She was attending Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas when she met and fell in love with her eventual husband W.A. (Andy) Stringfellow. They were married in 1949 in Levelland, Texas. They were married over sixty nine years and travelled extensively. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Phyllis Mathis. Jerry is survived by her brother Charles Simon of Maineville, Ohio, son Keith (Cali) Stringfellow of Johns Creek, Georgia, daughter Anne Thompson (David) of Amarillo, Texas, son Steve Stringfellow (Melanie) of Utopia, Texas, and son Richard (Bette) Stringfellow of Weatherford, Texas, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manor Park, 2208 North Loop 250 West, Midland, Texas 79707. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Manor Park and Hospice of Midland.
