Gregg Parker Obituary

Gregg Ray Parker passed away December 18, 2020, after a sudden illness. He was born in Odessa, Texas, on January 9, 1959. He and his twin brother, Craig, joined big brother Mark at home with their parents, Carline Prichard Parker and James Milton Parker. He moved with his family to Ft. Terrett Ranch in Sutton County, Texas, in 1964. Gregg attended Sonora Public Schools where he excelled in three sports, graduating in 1977. He attended Baylor University and Sul Ross State University. Following college he ranched in Andrews County for a time before dabbling in a number of fields, moving on to something new whenever he felt the need for new horizons. Gregg was a dreamer and loved to roam. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and camping out. He also loved a long motorcycle ride with friends. He loved cars, and anything with a motor was a fascination to him. He had many friends and was well-loved for his sense of fun and adventure. He will be greatly missed by his wife Alicia her Dashi was her life and her long awaited love and all his brothers and sisters in law. He was always the life of the party and always stopped what he was doing to show his mother in law Yolanda how much he cared for her. We will surely miss our "Parker" as we so lovingly called him. Gregg is preceded in death by his parents as well as his stepmother, Carol Bright Parker and daughter, Destiny Amaya. He is survived by his wife, Alice Garcia Parker, of Ruidoso, New Mexico; sons James Ray Parker of Leander, Texas; and Ryan Early Parker of Odessa, Texas; and daughter Victoria Jade Parker also of Odessa and three step daughters Amy, Diane and Yesenia Gomez of Midland. He is also survived by his three siblings, Mark Lind Parker of Palmer, Texas; his twin Craig Carl Parker of Kerrville, Texas; Kathryn Parker Howie of San Antonio, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home in Midland, Texas, on Saturday, December 26th at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
