My extended family, the Zajiceks, knew him as Butch Spannous. He lived a couple of doors down the street from my Grandmother's home, the house where my Dad and his siblings were raised in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Butch was a playmate of my aunt Patsy. The Spannous family was close to the hearts of the Zajicek family.
