James Sale Obituary

February 19, 2015 Services for James "Jim" Randall Sale, 71, who died Thursday, February 19, 2015, in Stephenville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Brian L. Harbour officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas. Jim was born October 14, 1943 in Lamesa Texas to James Woodford Sale and Hallie McNerlin Sale. He went home to his Savior on Thursday, February 19, 2015. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1962 and Baylor University in 1966 with a BBA degree in Marketing. He lived most of his life in Midland, Texas. Jim married his beloved life partner, Judy Ferguson, on August 27, 1966. He was a landman in the Oil and Gas Industry for 16 years and in the insurance industry for his remaining life. He loved horses and the cowboy way of life. His greatest experience in life was the day he accepted his Savior's invitation to become His follower. He enjoyed teaching adults the Bible through his church. One of his on-going goals was to bring laughter and fun to those around him. All who knew him would whole-heartedly agree he exceeded that goal. Survivors include his wife, Judy F. Sale of Stephenville; sons, Jim "Wade" Sale and wife Mandy of Aledo, and Spencer Ashby Sale of Amarillo; his mother, Hallie Sale of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Sandra Baucom of Sulphur Springs and Sharon Camp of Kilgore; grandchildren, Cameron Sale, Trevor Sale, Luke Sale, Emily Sale, Riley Sale, Ashby Sale, Eli Sale and Lilly Sale. He was preceded in death by his father, James Woodard Sale and his mother-in-law, Zelna Underwood Ferguson. Memorials may be made to Grace Place, 365 W. Tarleton, Stephenville, TX 76401, or Arthur Blessitt Evangelistic Association, 600 S. Cherry St., Denver, CO 80246. Online condolences can be made at www.lacyfuneral.com.
