My condolences to Jeff's family. I worked with Jeff for several years while he was at WM. I have tried for several days to process this and try to think of the perfect words. Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be the right words in my head to express the sadness at knowing the world and his family has lost such a funny, warm and kind soul. He will be missed.

Jeff was always so full of compassion and happiness. His energy was always contagious when he walked into the room. I'll never forget when he paid me with a scratch-off ticket for helping out with a job. Rest in Peace Jeff.
Tyler, keep your head up buddy. Jeff is proud of the man you have become.
Prayers for the family.

Jeffrey and I were together 20 years, he was the greatest man I ever knew. He was my best friend and was the love of my life. When we had our only son , Tyler Matthew Spence, now 16 they were best friends . It started the day he was born .. he was the greatest father in the world to our son, he always went above and beyond and would do anything for Tyler. We take comfort in knowing he will be watching over us, our sweet angel in Heaven now . We will never forget you. You brought me 20 years of happiness and the best years of my life. I will make you proud Jeffrey and continue to raise our son into the fine young man that we both love so much. You will be missed by Tyler and I more than I can put into words.. May you know Rest In Peace my sweet Jeffrey . We will go on loving you and missing you and never forget the incredible man you were. Love always, LeAnn Spence and Tyler Spence..❤❤❤❤❤

I hope this doesn't offend anyone but Jeff was so serious at the time and it was hysterical because of his demeanor at the time.
I can remember the last time I saw Jeff as if were yesterday, but it was many, many years ago and it too involved food. I had made butter beans with ham and skillet cornbread and brought this to work for my boss (Gordon Kelly-who has passed away) we asked Jeff to join us. As we are eating, Jeff reaches over (after bowl 2 or 3) and starts rubbing my arm back & forth with one of his fingers. When I asked him what he was doing he said, "checking to see if you are really white, 'cause no white woman should not be able to make food that tastes like this."
my deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. I know several of us at Waste Management have heavy hearts.

My heart is filled with sadness today after hearing about the passing of Jeff. Jeff was an amazing young man that left his mark in the hearts of many friends at Waste Management. He was the hardest working, dedicated gas manager in the Houston area. One of my favorite memories of Jeff has to do with food. Jeff could eat like a horse and never gained an ounce of weight. Looking back on his time at Waste Management he used to be a part of the lunch bunch crew. Chinese, Mexican, or burger it didnt matter. The lunch bunch crew tried to have lunch at least one or two days a week. We worked hard but we always had time for good fellowship. Jeff was a true man of character and he always had something polite or funny to say. On occasion he was known to tell a joke or two. Thank you for allowing me to share a happy memory of times with Jeff. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeffs entire family. May God give you strength and comfort you in the coming days. God bless.
