Jerrell Stanley Obituary

Jerrell Frank Stanley, of Midland, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004.

He was born December 9, 1952 to William Benjamin Stanley and Nora O. Casbeer Stanley in Midland, Texas. Frank graduated from Midland High School in 1972 and received a Associates Degree from Midland College. On November 24, 1973 he married his high school sweetheart, Terri Lindsey. Frank proudly served his country from 1972 until 1975 in the U.S. Army. He then became an active member of the U. S. Navy Reserves and was currently in Active Ready Reserves at the time of his death. During his career Frank worked for the Texas Department of Transportation, Midland Memorial Hospital ER and the Texas Department of Justice in Colorado City, Texas. Frank loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, William Benjamin Stanley, Jr.

Frank is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri L. Stanley of Midland, TX; daughter, Emily D. Thurman and her husband, Curtis, of Kelso, WA; son, Barret P. Stanley and his wife, Lila, of Fort Hood, TX; grandchildren, Madeleine and Abigail Thurman of Kelso, WA; Emily K. Thurman of San Antonio, TX; Alexas and Allison Stanley of Fort Hood, TX; mother, Nora Stanley Thornhill and stepfather, Savoy Thornhill of Midland, TX; brother, Donald Stanley of Weatherford, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jo and Tom Lindsey of Katy, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home Sunday, January 2, 2005 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2005 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain David Harwood officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
