Jessie Herb Obituary

Jessie Lee Herb Jessie Lee Herb, 20, of Midland, died on Sunday, October 3, 2010, in Martin County. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm Friday, October 8, 2010, at Fairmont Park Church of Christ, with Scott Sheppard and Smokey Thorpe officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home, and on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 9:00am to 11:00am, also at the funeral home. He was born on December 16, 1989, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Growing up, he was momma's cowboy and daddy's outlaw. Jessie lived life to the fullest and was a peace-keeper for the family. He always stated, "Ashley was the backbone, and he was the heart", and his sister Ashley was greatly honored to be his hero. Jessie was taken too young and not given the chance to be the man we all wanted him to be. He will be missed and always loved by all. He is survived by his mother, Marie O'Connell and her husband Gator Nestor of Maybrook, New York; his father, Ernest Herb and wife Beverly of Midland; five sisters, Ashley Herb, Madison Herb, and Teresa O'Connell, all of Midland, Kelly O'Connell of Maybrook, New York, and Mallory Herb of San Diego, California; four brothers, Matthew Herb of Midland, C.J. Herb of Maybrook, New York, Bobby Johnson and Hunter Herb both of San Diego, California; his grandmothers, Marianne Chadwick, Wanda Sullivan, Marie O'Connell, and Betty and Jim Chadwick; 4 Uncle O'Connells of Maybrook, New York and 2 Uncle Chadwicks of Midland and Virginia; and a cousin, Kanin Cahill of Midland. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers. The family suggests memorials be made to The Midland SPCA, P.O. Box 4371, Midland, Texas 79704, or to the Salvation Army Holiday Meals, PO Box 594, Midland, Texas 79702. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com
