Kyle Martin Murdock

1970 - 2021

1970-2021 Beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather passed away into the arms of his savior on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 in Colleyville, Texas. Kyle was born on March 13th, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Mae Murfee Elementary, Evans Junior High, and was an honor graduate of Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas, class of 1988. Kyle was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church while in Lubbock. He received his accounting degree and Masters of tax degree in 1993 from Baylor University. He was a member and leader of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Kyle worked at several accounting firms including Price Waterhouse in Houston. He was a former chief accounting officer controller at True Oil Company LLC from 2013-2016 in Midland, Texas. He was presently Vice President of treasury and finance at Crimson Energy Partners LLC, in Fort Worth. Kyle had a heart for God's work. While in Midland, as a member of Mid-Cities Church, he helped lead in mission trips to Jordan, Kenya, and continued to support students in completing their education. One of the students he supported said of Kyle, "Everyone who sees you sees the love of Jesus." Another said, " You are a huge, strong man with a heart of Jesus." Among his many achievements are: Goodwill West Texas Midland Advisory Board Chairperson. Recognized for his dedicated service for Midland Habitat for Humanity. A graduate of Leadership Midland Program by Midland Chamber of Commerce, the National Republican Congressional Committee Leadership Award, and the Bob Buquor Memorial Star Crest Award for excellence in Skydiving. His survivors include a son, Mason Murdock of Colleyville, a daughter, Madison Urias and husband Karlo, of Midland, Parents Mark and Linda Murdock of Lubbock, a sister, Karen Murdock McMillian and husband Tom of Lubbock. 3 nieces, Kourtney Hanslik and husband Nick of Wolfforth, Kasey Walmsley and husband Andrew of Llano, Karolyne Addison and husband Chris of Midland. A granddaughter Wren Urias, 4 grand nephews, and 2 grand nieces. Celebration of Life services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville on Tuesday, October 5th at 3:00pm. Visitation will be at 4:30 Monday, October 4th, also at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. The burial will follow at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 7th at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Samaritan's Purse.
