Leilani Matthews Obituary

Leilani Matthews Leilani Matthews passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. Leilani was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 18, 1955 to Harold and Daisey Matthews. She was raised and educated in Midland Texas and graduated from Midland High School in 1974. Leilani went to Midland College for a few years. Her professional life was spent in the oil and gas industry. She spent many years with TRW Reda Pump and Schlumberger. She was a huge animal lover and was known to rescue dogs and cats. Leilani was proceeded in death by her parents, her loving partner of fifteen years Elaine Matthews, and her brother Richard Matthews. Leilani leaves behind family and friends that lover her very much. She also leaves behind five dogs that miss her treats and belly rubs. A gathering to remember her life will be held Friday May 20, 2022 at 10:00AM at Ellis Funeral Home, 4616 North Big Spring Street. Leilani had prepaid all funeral arrangements. She left very specific instructions, she even prepaid for her own flowers. She is keeping the plot next to Harold and Daisey but prepaid for cremation. She even picked out her own music. This will be an extremely informal event with coffee, juice, and breakfast. Although her life on this earth was way too short, her memory will live on in the family and friendships that she leaves behind0.
