Mary Morgan was born to John and Julia Mann on June 27, 1943, in Electra, Texas. She was called home to our Lord, passing peacefully, on October 4th, 2025, in New Braunfels, TX after spending most of her life in Midland, TX. Mary had many passions, including painting, crafting, sewing, and traveling. However, her greatest passion was caring for others, especially children. She spent too many hours to count at Grace Lutheran caring for children in just about every way a person can. For the rest of us, who could forget the way she expressed her care – her beautiful smile, wonderful cakes, thoughtful crafts, and a laugh that could bring light to the darkest of days.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Reeves; brothers, Carl, and Jackie Mann; son-in law, Doug Fox, and grandsons, John Ryan, Jonathan Grant Morgan, and Tyler Monroe Fox. She is survived by her children, daughter, Nancy Fox-Mims (Alex); son, Rodney Morgan; grandchildren, Allison Lee (Alex), Olivia, Grant and Amelia Morgan, and Lacee Mims and great-granddaughters, Marley Jo, Amelia Love and Kennedy Grace Lee; sisters, Ella Epps and Margaret Downes and numerous loved nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 W Golf Course Rd, Midland, TX 79701 on Friday, October 24, 2025. Visitation will be from 10AM with services starting at 11 AM.
Mary will be interred on site at the church immediately after the service.
