Marynell Blackerby Obituary
Services will be at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 4, at the First Christian Church with Charles Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton-Kitches Funeral Home.
She was born to Sidney and Lillie Hughes in Breckenridge and married G.R. Blackerby June 24, 1949 in Breckenridge. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. She was a leader with Community Bible Study, teacher of Christian Women's Fellowship and served as a deaconess. She also served on the board of the First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Bonnie Rogers of Midland; one son, Paul Blackerby of Breckenridge; one sister, Martha Crenshaw of Breckenridge; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Helping Hand Fund of The First Christian Church, American Cancer Society or Abilene League House.
