Mattie Belle Bartlett

Funeral services for Mattie Belle Bartlett, 87, of Midland, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at First United Methodist Church of Levelland. Entombment will be in Resthaven Mausoleum, Lubbock, Texas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. She died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Midland, Texas. Mattie was born on May 10, 1923, in Bonham, Texas, and graduated from Bonham High School, and attended Texas Women's University, before going to work for the United States Government, as a Civil Servant for the next forty years. She married Rodney Eugene Kelly in 1942, and he preceded her in death in 1944. She later married Troy Bartlett in 1945. He died in 1994. Mattie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Le-velland and Smyer Senior Citi-zens. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Diane Kelly Steward of Midland, Texas; her grandson, Shane Steward of Lantana, Texas; two great-grandchildren, several nieces, great-nieces and nephews.
