Patricia (Pat) Agnes Brown Dougherty, wife of the late Charles F. Dougherty, daughter of the late Richard Charles and Agnes Baber Brown died on August 6, 2021. Born in Joplin, Missouri on September 4, 1931, her parents and sister, Marilyn Brown Clemons, pre-deceased her. Resident of Midland for over 33 years. Pat moved to Marietta, GA in 2010. She lived with her family in Joplin, MO, Kansas City, MO, Rutherford, NJ, Hannibal, MO, Salina, KS, and Dallas, TX. She was a graduate of Salina High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and president of Gamma Alpha Chi advertising sorority. Pat married Charles F. Dougherty on November 22, 1952 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Kansas City, MO. They lived in Moultrie, GA and on Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska during Chuck's term of duty with the USAF. Oil business transfers took them to Shreveport, LA, Jackson, MS, Oklahoma City, OK, Calgary, Canada, New Orleans, LA, Denver, CO and to Midland, TX in 1980. Her husband, Chuck, and son, Michael, pre-deceased her. She is survived by daughter-in-law Beverli and grandchildren Matthew and James Dougherty and Megan Emery; son Patrick, his wife Lisa and grandchildren Lauren Decker, Blair Warren, and Sean Dougherty; and daughter Diane Taylor, her husband Benjamin and grandchildren Ross and Amanda Huels, Molly and Hamilton Taylor. She had 12 great-grandchildren - Aiden Dougherty, Kylie and Maximus Emery, Wells and Elliott Decker, Marcella and Camille Warren, Evelyn and Corrie Dougherty, Cash and Cora Huels and Shiloh Draper. She is also survived by niece Corinne Bryan of Dallas, and nephew Dr. C. Richard Clemons of San Antonio. During her lifetime, Pat was a member of various organizations and served as chairman of the Midland, TX chapter of Kansas University Alumni for ten years. She was Alumnae District Officer for Delta Delta Delta, in charge of 17 alumnae chapters in New Mexico and West Texas from 1986 to 1990, and then supervised all of Tri Delta's 100 collegiate chapter House Corporations from 1990 to 1994. She had been president at various times of the following groups: Oklahoma City Geophysical Auxiliary, New Orleans Geological Auxiliary, Chapter BS, P.E.O. sisterhood, Green Tree Country Club Ladies' Golf Association, Midland Delta Delta Delta Alumnae Chapter and the Women's West Texas Golf Association. Memorial donations may be sent to the Midland S.P.C.A or to the
charity of one's choice. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public funeral services.
