It is with heavy hearts that we share Preston Scott Barton went home to be with The Lord December 16, 2025.
Preston was born on December 8, 2000, in Midland, Texas to Michael Scott Barton and Nicole Myers. For 25 years Preston was a vibrant spirit to all. Always with a beautiful smile and infectious personality, Preston would bring laughter, kindness, compassion and fun to everyone he met. He never met a stranger and always had the 'glass half full' mentality, which made him so very special. He loved sports, hunting, music, gaming and especially 'the lake life'. But most of all, he loved being surrounded by his family.
He attended Grapevine High School where he played football, water polo and was on the wrestling team. After high school he moved back to Midland and worked at Precision Pipeline Rentals, Charger Services and Centurion/Oxy Pipeline.
Preston is preceded in death by his grandmother Margaret Burney, grandfather Jack "shorty" Burney and his aunt Carol Jan Fuller.
He is survived by his father Michael Scott Barton, his mother Nicole Myers, grandmother Cande Myers. His brother Brady Barton. Also, his aunt Laree Cole, uncle Steve Cole and uncle Steve Fuller. His cousins, Cameron Cole and wife Kathleen Cole, Alexa Cole, Brandon Fuller, Toree Fuller and husband Tyler Arnold. His younger cousins, who he adored and they adored him, Blakely, Brooks, Maverick, Carter, Cooper Rose and Collin.
Preston leaves behind a lifetime of memories for his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Thank you, God, for blessing us with Preston Scott Barton.
The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.

I am so glad I got to be a part of Preston's life, even if it was just for a little while. He was so handsome, kind and vibrant. You were loved and will be missed.

Mike, I am so sad to hear about the loss of your son, Preston. Though I had never met him, I can say without a doubt, he not only looked like you, but he also must have had the same demeanor and personality as you have. You and your family are in my prayers.

I knew Preston Barton since freshman year of high school in football and I knew we talked and texted and hung out after high school in 2020 he took me around the block in his new truck and beginning of last year I got to see him for the first when I got to meet up with him and Franco and November I saw him at a stop light and said hi how are you doing and I´ll never forget the memories talks and texts we ever had may you R.I.P buddy I´ll see you on the other side
