Ray Miles Obituary

Ray Ellis Miles passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4th in San Angelo after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 at the West Kentucky Baptist Church in Midland with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating. Corky was born March 5, 1958 in Midland, TX to Henrietta Ubonoski and Ray Miles, Sr. He was preceded in death by his mom, sister and protector Betty Davis and brother-in-law Charles Davis. Raised and educated in Midland, Corky worked on and off in the oil field until recent years. He started a small appliance business where he said he could fix anything. After he worked on it he always said it was just like new. He is survived by two sons, Jack and William Miles of Midland; one daughter, Tricia Miles of Midland; wife Shirly Miles and her two children, Tootis and Tammy; two brothers, Wayne Urbanoski of San Angelo and Oscar and wife Kitty of San Angelo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with his beloved eight grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Dad we love you.

jAMES AND I ARE SO SORRY TO HEAR OF CORKYS DEATH. WE DID KNOW HE HAD BEEN SICK FOR A LONG TIME. WE HAVE A LOT OF MEMORIES OF HIM. WE CANT COME TO HIS SERVICES BECAUSE JAMES HAS JUST HAD SOME FINGERS AMPUTATED AND CANT TRAVEL OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU,SHIRLEY.GOD BLESS YOU ALL SURE WOULD LIKE TO BE WITH ALL. LOVE. I am really sorry to hear of Corky's death. Please know that I am praying for your entire family. I remember him when he was a small onery kid and just as cute as a button. I'm thinking of you all and praying God will give you all comfort at this time.
