Robert Myers Obituary

Robert (Bob) Myers, 91, of Midland, went home to see the Lord on August 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 16, 2018 at First United Methodist Church Chapel in Midland, Texas. Bob was born on April 1, 1927 in Chattaroy, West Virginia. His youth was highlighted by his achievement of Eagle Scout. Bob was a military veteran of World War II serving in the Navy as a signalman. After his tenure in the military, Bob attended Marshall College. He began a long and illustrious career with Wohl Shoe Company including stops in Dallas, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Midland. The Midland responsibilities concluding with being general manager of Barnes Pelletier shoe stores. Bob and Jane traveled extensively pursuing their passion of bridge. Bob is survived by Jane, his wife of 70 years; sons, Rock Myers and Bill Myers; and daughter, Carolyn Murphy. Bob and Jane are blessed with six grandchildren, Will, Kirby, Neil, Robb, Michael, Christine, and one great-grandchild, Luke. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.
