Robert Nash Obituary

Robert Andrew Nash, 53, of Midland, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. There will be a public viewing on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with interment following at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Robert was born on February 22, 1962 in Midland to Archie Robert Nash and Dorothy Nelson Nash Ellis. Robert attended Madison High School in Houston, Texas and graduated from Midland High School in 1980, where he played baseball. He went on to study forestry two years at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. Robert made his home in Midland where he was a Lawn and Garden Manager for Builder's Square. He later worked at Lowe's for 12 years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, and barbequing. In October 1996, he welcomed his daughter Chelsea. She remembers him being a loving father who encouraged her to follow her dreams. He later married Samantha Nash and welcomed her son, Alex Spencer, sharing the love of baseball with him. Robert was loved by many people and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Nash; son, Alex Spencer; sister; Doris Francis; mother, Dorothy Ellis; and grandson, Malakai Holguin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Samantha Renee Nash; and his father, Archie Robert Nash. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
