Rodolfo Galindo Obituary

Rodolfo "Fito" Galindo, from Midland, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Midland Memorial hospital at the young age of 60. He was born to Carlos and Romelia Galindo in the small town of El Paradero outside of Ojinaga, Mexico on November 18, 1954.
After moving to Midland at a young age with his family, he attended Midland High. Rodolfo was a very social person, and enjoyed being around his family and friends to laugh, joke, and tell stories about the good old days.
He was an engineer of many trades. He was a well-known mechanic, welder, electrician, carpenter, roofer, painter, construction worker, and truck driver to his family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. Now that you have left us to soon we will all have to pay an actual licensed engineer a ridiculous amount of money for help. I know that we were selfish not wanting to let you go but you did so much in your life for someone that was only 60 years young. You were a wonderful grandfather, father, uncle, cousin, brother, compadre, and son. We all love you and you will be dearly missed but just like your granddaughter assured us that this is not a goodbye but only a see you later.
Rodolfo is survived by his mother, Romelia Galindo of Midland; brother, Carlos Galindo and wife Lupe; sister, Elsa Hinojosa and husband Eddie, Sr.; brother, Robert Galindo, Sr. and wife Maggie; brother, Francisco Galindo; sister, Gloria Galindo; brother, Tony Galindo and wife Mary Ann; brother, Roy Galindo; four children, Rudy Galindo, Jr. and his wife Andrea; daughter, Valerie Galindo; daughter, Laurie Peña and husband Severiano, Jr.; son, David Galindo; and nine grandchildren, including Kayla Galindo, Evrin Galindo, Matthew Chavarria, Madison Galindo, Mark Peña, Marissa Peña, Sierra Peña, Andrew Peña, and Josiah Galindo, all from Midland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Galindo; and his sister, Griselda "Chela" Galindo.
Pallbearers for the service will be his brother, Robert Galindo; brother, Francisco Galindo; brother, Tony Galindo; grandson, Evrin Galindo; grandson, Mark Peña; grandson, Matthew Chavarria; nephew, Cesar Galindo; and nephew, Edward Hinojosa, Jr.
Visitation will be Monday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home, located at 405 N. Terrell Midland, Texas. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 1401 Garden Ln. Midland, TX. Burial service to follow at Serenity Memorial Garden, 6800 TX-349 Midland, TX.
