Ronald "Ron" Brookshire
04/23/1948 - 12/29/2024
San Angelo - Ronald "Ron" Dee Brookshire, age 76, of San Angelo, TX, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024. He was born on April 23, 1948, in Midland, TX, to Willis and Billie (McKee) Brookshire.
Ron was a proud Vietnam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He later retired from the City of Midland, TX, where he had a fulfilling career. A devoted husband to his late wife, Bettie Brookshire, whom he married in Midland, Ron cherished family, and his love for gardening, hunting, fishing, and listening to The Beatles were some of his most beloved pastimes.
He is survived by his children, Billy Brookshire and wife Tammy, and Gary Brookshire and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Jennifer Arras, Crystal Madron, Stevie Neely, Hillary Terry, Hope Nguyen, Jonathan Brookshire, Chyanne Haney, Trenton Brookshire, and Auston Brookshire; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ron also leaves behind his brother, Roy Brookshire and wife Pam, and numerous nephews and nieces who will remember him with love.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Brookshire, and siblings, Audie Brookshire and Patsy Gilly.
A private ceremony will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of San Angelo. (https:/westtexasrehab.org/online-donation/).
