Tamara Arnett Obituary

Tamara Lyn Booth Arnett
05/18/1960 - 02/14/2024
On February 14, 2024, Tamara Lyn Booth Arnett went home to be with our Savior Jesus Christ. Tamara was born May 18, 1960 in Midland, Texas to Evelyn Katovich Booth Breen and Robert Cloud Booth Sr. who have both preceded her in death.
She attended St. Anns, Bowie elementary Grade Schools and Midland High School, which she graduated from in 1978.
At age 5 she was cast into the role of Gretl Vonn Trapp in "The Sound of Music" at the Midland Community Theater and stole the show! She loved to sing and sang at many weddings including her family weddings, social gatherings and anywhere that had a stage and audience, with or without a microphone, and was always loved and applauded.
She attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas where she met the love of her life Paul Arnett and where their adventures together began.
Tamara and Paul went to Las Vegas Nev. and got married in Jan. 2005. They remained in Las Vegas until July 1990 with both working at the Las Vegas newspaper.
Their first child, Rowdy Shane Arnett was born there in 1987. He was only with Tamara and Paul for one month before dying of sudden infant death syndrome. This was an everlasting devastating time for Tamara and Paul. They left Las Vegas in 1990 and moved to Hawaii where Paul got a job with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Their two daughters, Chloe Rhiannon and Phoebe Rea, were born in Las Vegas, but grew up on the island of Oahu in the small community of Kaaawa, HI. Tamara eventually got a job at Kualoa Ranch where Tamara worked for 25 years taking care of the ranch animals and doing educational tours. She loved the ranch and the volunteers, employees, visitors and owners of the land as well as keeping them all entertained with her wit and charm. She was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious to all!
Tamara worshipped as a member of the Catholic Church, where she enjoyed singing, solace and praising God.
Tamara is survived by her beloved husband Paul Arnett, 2 daughters Chloe Rhiannon Arnett and Phoebe Rea A'alona and son-in-law Kama A'alona and granddaughter Marley A'alona. Other survivors are her stepmother Kaye Booth of California, three brothers; Robert Cloud Booth, Jr. and his wife Vivian Booth of Kerrville, Texas, Doctor William Carroll Booth and his wife Carol of Denton, Texas, and Jess Raymond Booth and his wife Maureen Booth of California and three sisters; Mary Anne Deaton and husband Fred of Ozona, Texas., Patricia Lindsay and husband Bruce of Woodstock, Georgia, Addie Jeanne Woodard and her husband Randy of Fischer. Tamara is also survived by 6 nieces and 7 nephews who all loved her dearly!
There will be a celebration of life for Tamara at Kualoa Ranch in Kaaawa, HI on April , 2024.

To the Arnett family I truly am sorry for your loss I learned of Tammy´s passing a few months ago so please accept my apologies. I am not much of a church going catholic, but I do pray and I pray that the lord continues to embrace all of you during this difficult time. I was heartbroken in hearing of Tammy´s passing.
Even though we knew each other for only a few months it was hard not to be drawn to that spunky beauty that was so genuine and confident in herself that's what drew me and others to her she was the original "No Fear & Just Do It!" person. She wasn´t afraid to express her thoughts and feelings, of leaving home for her dreams of attending ASU, and moving to San Angelo, but she knew home was only a couple of hours away. I can still see her excitement in her eyes and face. I loved how funny she was and her sarcasm and quick wit and how we laughed and laughed and laughed.
I am so happy to have met her. And I am happy for her loving family because I can only imagine she was a wonderful wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. Tammy´s legacy will always be her strength in character, generosity, adventurous spirit, humor, friendship, passion and compassion, truthfulness, warmth, and the life she lived.

I'm very saddened to learn of Tammy's passing. What a spit fire she was. I'm sending love and prayers for all of you.

Tammy was the beautiful, kind, free-spirited baby of the Booth family. We will all truly miss her though we see her in the flowers she loved and hear her in the songs she loved and sang. She had the gifts of "never meeting a stranger" and loving and listening to everyone she met.
And the animals of this world were her specialty. Whenever an animal was hurt or maimed or beyond hope on the ranch they were brought to Tamara who miraculously brought them to health or stayed with them while she nursed and ushered them on to the Lord.
She was and still is a true hero and beautiful sister and friend!
I Love you Tee-Ta and miss you!
Love, Po

Oh, “Tammy”, my childhood friend, I always wanted to find you and talk one more time. We had so much fun in elementary school at Bowie. I remember when your German Shepherd, Duke, ran away for a week. You were so worried, but prayers brought him home to you! I loved spending the night at your house. It was so big, I was afraid I would get lost! I even went to the estate sale there a couple of years ago, just to reminisce

I’m sorry I never found you, but I’m glad to hear you had a very good life!

Prayers to you, Paul, Chloe and Phoebe. She’s with Rowdy now.

I grew up as a childhood friend of Tamara. She went by Tammy then, but I don't know if she went by Tamara later on.
We lived two doors down from each other and we're close friends for a few years. I last saw Tammy around 1979 and we went to see The Motels in concert and I never saw her again...unfortunately. We hung out a lot from late grade school to high school.
It sounds like she's had a wonderful and adventurous life and so glad to read that she was married and had such a warm and loving family.
Tammy, myself, and the other kids in the neighborhood spent many, many hours jumping on the Booth's trampoline. It was the gathering spot of the neighborhood at times.
Tammy was like a sister to me during those years and always a true and dear friend.
Take care my friend, and I'm sure you know that every boy in the neighborhood had a crush on you.
I know you're in The Good Place!
