Mr. Ambrose Snow "Chip" Brooks of Mount Airy passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Brooks was born November 17, 1942 in Millbridge, Maine and was retired from Brannock Exxon. Mr. Brooks was a kind and compassionate man to all he knew. Surviving is his wife Mrs. Teresa Jessup Brooks of the home, two stepchildren and spouses, Ashley and Ricky Bowman of Mount Airy, Marie Payne and Robert of Claudville, VA, and three daughters, and four sons, two step grandchildren, Eve Payne and Lydia Bowman, mother-in-law, Doris Jessup of Mount Airy, three sisters and a brother, special niece, Holly Jordan and special nephew and wife, Jim and Michelle Jordan and four special friends, Marty Marshall, Ronnie Burkhart, Ricky Darrell Bowman and Ed Jordan.
