Carolyn Howell Obituary

Carolyn Banner Howell, age 87, passed peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lee Howell. She is survived by her two daughters, Tara Howell and Dana Larimer, and their husbands Steve Herzog and Don Larimer. Carolyn grew up in Mount Airy and Alexandria, Virginia. After marrying Bobby, they moved to Texas with Amoco. Their longest residence was Tulsa, Oklahoma, with ten years in London, England. Carolyn was very active in her church, Memorial Baptist of Tulsa, and loved serving there with the wonderful fellowship. She taught both in her Sunday school class and Bible Study Fellowship. She never let anyone pass without a kind word, or a story. Her smile and warm personality will always be with us and give us joy as we remember her. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at Memorial Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Share memories at moorefuneral.com. There will be a private graveside memorial at Oakdale Cemetery.

Bill and I send our sympathies as we are currently out of town. Carolyn was such a sweet and friendly person. She always had a smile and a story to tell. I served on the decorating committee at Memorial Baptist with her. Her dedication to serving was evident in every event and committee she worked on. She will truly be missed. Blessings to her family.
